How the Activity Panel Works

How to read each entry, what the panel keeps, and how to jump to the element that changed.

Reading an entry

Every line in the panel tells you three things:

  • Who made the change, shown with their name and colour.
  • What changed, for example "Added a Square", "Moved an Arrow", "Recoloured", "Renamed", or "Edited".
  • When it happened, shown as a relative time like "2 minutes ago".

One action, one line

A continuous action becomes a single entry, not dozens of them. One drag to move or resize something, or a quick burst of arrow-key nudges, is recorded as one tidy line.

Finding what changed

Click an entry to jump straight to the element it changed, so you do not have to hunt for it on the canvas.

What the panel keeps

The list is tied to the tab you are viewing: switch tabs and you see that tab's history. The panel shows your most recent changes, and older history is kept for about 90 days before it is cleared automatically.

The name and colour shown on each entry are fixed at the moment the change was made. If someone later changes their name, the older history is not rewritten.

Clearing the history

The diagram's owner can choose "Clear Activity" to wipe the current tab's history without deleting the tab itself.

Once you understand the list, see Undo and Reverting a Change.
