Add a Tab to Another Diagram

Reuse a tab elsewhere: copy the active tab into another of your diagrams in a couple of clicks.

Sometimes a tab you built in one diagram belongs in another, a reference board, a template flow, or a section you want to carry over. Add to Diagram copies the active tab into another diagram you own, without leaving the editor.

Copying a tab across

Open the active tab's ellipsis menu and expand the Organise section.
Choose Add to Diagram.
Pick the destination diagram from your list. The tab is copied into it.

The option is only available when you actually have somewhere to copy to: if this is your only diagram, Add to Diagram is greyed out until you create another.

What gets copied

Add to Diagram makes a copy, so the original tab stays exactly where it is. The destination diagram gets the tab's elements and layout as a new tab of its own. From there it is an ordinary tab in that diagram: rename it, fold it into a tab folder, or restyle it without affecting the source.

Building the same starter board again and again? Keep a master copy in one diagram and use Add to Diagram to drop it into each new project, then tailor it from there.
