The zoom controls sit in the corner of the canvas and govern how close you are to your diagram. The infinite canvas can hold far more than one screenful, so zoom is how you move between the detail and the big picture.
The controls
- Zoom in / out — step closer or further, centred on the canvas.
- Fit to screen — frame the whole diagram in view at once, the quickest way to get your bearings after panning around.
- Reset — jump back to 100%, true size.
The current zoom level is shown alongside the buttons. You can also zoom with a trackpad pinch or Ctrl/Cmd + scroll, and pan with the Hand tool or by dragging empty canvas, the zoom controls are simply the always-visible way to do it.
