Finding Documents in the Community

Search by words and tags, sort what you find, then make a document your own.

The Community is a gallery of documents people have shared: architecture diagrams, retrospectives, roadmaps, wireframes, sketches and more. You don't need an account to browse it, like a document or make your own copy.

Searching

One search box holds everything you are looking for, written as words:

  • Plain words search the title, description and tags, for example checkout flow.
  • #tag finds documents with that tag. Add several, like #aws #event-driven, and a document has to have all of them.
  • category:planning keeps to one subject, such as Planning, Workshops or Design & Wireframes.
  • sort:loved puts the most liked documents first, and sort:copied the most copied. Without one, the newest come first.
  • is:mine shows only the documents you have shared (see Your own shares).

You can type these yourself, or use the buttons inside the right of the search box, which write the same words for you:

Choose Category to keep to one subject, or All Categories to see everything again.

Choose Tags to see the most used tags. Pick one to add its #tag to your search; pick it again to take it out.

Choose the sort button (it reads Newest to start) to order by Most Loved or Most Copied.

On smaller screens the buttons show just their icons. Your search stays in the page address, so you can bookmark it or send it to someone.

On a document's own page, choose any of its tags to search the gallery for that tag.

Your own shares

Choose My Shares in the search box to see only the documents you have shared, signed in. Above them, Your Shares adds up how many you have shared, and how many likes and copies they have had altogether, so you can see how they are doing. Each card shows its own likes and copies, and you can still search, filter and sort within them.

A document taken out of the Community after reports shows here marked Hidden; only you can see it. Choose it to open the document in the editor.

Looking at a document

Open a card to see the document's page: a live preview you can pan, zoom and page through, the author's description and its tags. Open Document shows it full screen. Documents in the Community are always read-only, and their comments are private.

Liking a document

Choose the heart on a card, or Like on a document's page, to show the author you liked it. Choose it again to take your like back. Likes are kept per browser, and Most Loved sorts by them.

Making your own copy

Choose Make a Copy on a document's page, or in the bar across the top of an open document. A copy of the whole document opens in the editor as your own document, with every tab. Change anything you like; the original never changes. Each person who copies a document counts once towards its copy count.

Reporting a document

If a document is spam, offensive, shows someone's personal information or isn't the author's to share, choose Report on its page, pick a reason and add a note if it helps. A document reported by several people is hidden automatically, for good. Nobody reviews posts by hand: the reports decide.
